Two decades of innovation, expansion and commitment to core values contribute to a special milestone for the leading IT services and solutions provider.
May 5, 2018, Dublin, OH — From its global headquarters in Dublin, Ohio to its UK offices in England and Northern Ireland, Lightwell is celebrating 20 years of helping companies achieve their goals through technology. Leveraging expertise in wide variety of areas—including integration, supply chain, omnichannel order management, data analytics, and strategic IT staffing—Lightwell has assisted many of the world’s leading organizations in reducing cost and complexity, accelerating growth, increasing customer satisfaction, and gaining competitive advantages.
Founded by Michelle Kerr in 1998, Lightwell—then named Oxford Consulting Group—was a small startup focused on automotive supply chain solutions. By working closely with clients, Kerr—Lightwell’s president—along with several other founding team members quickly recognized a number of unmet client and industry needs and sought the best combination of people, process, and technology to resolve them.
Over the last decade, Kerr, CEO Adam Heeter, and other key executives led the expansion of the company’s practice areas, technologies, and capabilities in response to the needs and goals of its clients. This included areas like order management, integration and APIs, and most recently, data analytics. As part of this evolution, the company renamed and rebranded to Lightwell in 2014 to better reflect the value they deliver to clients.
Today, beyond providing IT consulting services and staffing, the company is a Value Added Reseller offering a variety of industry-leading software, SaaS, and cloud solutions; has developed its own proprietary technologies, accelerators, and frameworks; and provides fully managed services. Lightwell supports clients in over ten countries, has over 200 associates, and has offices in Dublin, OH, Fareham, England, and Belfast, NI.
“With the rapid pace at which technology advances in today’s environment, we are laser focused on partnering with clients and vendors to bring the very best solutions to the market,” continued Kerr. “We understand that what was progressive even five years ago is no longer relevant and we must work hard to innovate and bring forward new ways of doing business for the benefit of our clients, our employees, and our communities.”
Lightwell has been recognized by the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing privately-held companies eight times and has ranked consistently as a top women-owned business and leading IT consulting firm. Central to its long history of success is the company’s commitment to its clients, core values, and community.
“As I reflect on how we got here, clearly hard work, determination and a little bit of luck were involved,” said Kerr. “However, I think far more of our good fortune can be attributed to a fastidious commitment to our core values: A Passion for Excellence, Unrivaled Commitment to our Customers, Respect One Another, We do the Right Thing and We Ask Why Not. Throughout our history, I don’t think we always understood these to be our values, but certainly, over the last several years, we’ve come to realize these are at our foundation and guide everything we do.”
Kerr continued, “As we celebrate and enjoy this milestone in our company’s history, we are also looking forward to the next chapter in our evolution.”
